In the spirit of #lean, sometimes the biggest gains come from stopping instead of adding.

Here’s a list of things I’ve completely stopped and its outcome at work/home:

  1. Wearing a wristwatch ➡️ enjoying more time now
  2. Wearing a pulse monitor ➡️ enjoying my body’s pace
  3. Holiday planning ➡️ enjoying always the same hotel I love
  4. Estimating story points ➡️ enjoying faster planning sessions
  5. Over-scheduling my day ➡️ enjoying space for creativity
  6. Meeting notes ➡️ enjoying decision points
  7. App notifications ➡️ enjoying deep work
  8. Trying to please everyone ➡️ enjoying artistic freedom
  9. Status reports ➡️ enjoying plain talk and transparent metrics
  10. Listening to “gurus” ➡️ enjoying my own judgment

Less clutter. More clarity. More joy.
