Here’s a list of things I’ve completely stopped and its outcome at work/home:
- Wearing a wristwatch ➡️ enjoying more time now
- Wearing a pulse monitor ➡️ enjoying my body’s pace
- Holiday planning ➡️ enjoying always the same hotel I love
- Estimating story points ➡️ enjoying faster planning sessions
- Over-scheduling my day ➡️ enjoying space for creativity
- Meeting notes ➡️ enjoying decision points
- App notifications ➡️ enjoying deep work
- Trying to please everyone ➡️ enjoying artistic freedom
- Status reports ➡️ enjoying plain talk and transparent metrics
- Listening to “gurus” ➡️ enjoying my own judgment
Less clutter. More clarity. More joy.
